A few days back, Taapsee Pannu was seen getting into a heated argument with the paparazzi at a public event. This happened as the actress reappeared for promotions and was making her way towards promotional interviews. Soon after she tried to hurry it up and leave early, a paparazzo reprimanded the actress for not respecting her time and efforts as they waited for her.
What made the social media buzz was Taapsee’s statement at the end of the controversy, when she was heard saying, “An actor is always wrong.”
Now for the first time ever, Taapsee Pannu has broken her silence on the ugly controversy and reprimanded her for humiliating her and being rude towards her. In her latest interview, she said that sins from time to time forget that ‘there is a very thin line between a public person and public property.’
Speaking about the same she told Bollywood Hungama, “I never call him for my personal promotions. He is invited by the production house. so there were a program there for reAs a person, she opposes being bullied by photographers. “You must hear the tone in which they speak sometimes. This is so insulting to us. The way the gentleman spoke to me, he seemed to be doing me a favor by clicking me. Even my parents don’t scold me in that tone. I don’t even know how to describe it to you. I was given a program to follow. I was doing that. Why should I be at the end of this vowel, as if I’ve committed a crime?!”
“My only crime was I was on the other side of the camera. With the recent social-media culture anyone with a camera or a phone is paparazzi. The camera gives you a one-sided narrative. Taapsee Pannu said, “Anyone in today’s times It is very easy to target a person and humiliate that person by posting one-sided videos.”
The actress continued, “We are not fools. We are not illiterate to lose our temper over videos for no reason. I refused to believe that I was being disrespectful to anyone. I was calm. I smiled respectfully though. That gentleman didn’t respect me at all. He kept turning his back on me and he spoke to me in a very derogatory tone. I didn’t want to retaliate. I accepted whatever he had to say with folded hands.”
Taapsee Pannu Having said that some members of the paparazzi feel that because they have the power to put out one-sided content on social media, the celebs look annoyed.
“Unfortunately, they are the windows for celebrities to the public and so there are a lot of people who abuse that power. I am as much a person as anyone who is reading this interview. When I am spoken to in a rude manner, I have every right to ask why I am being talked about in this manner. I did not do anything wrong. We are all in the same industry. They should respect me as much as I respect them. Just because we are on this side of the camera doesn’t mean we need to be just polite,” said the actress again.
