Taylor Swift Releases New Song “Carolina” From ‘Where The Crawdads Sings’ – Listen

The song appeared in a song video when Sony Pictures prepared for the film’s July 15 theatrical release, based on the novel by Delia Owens and starring Daisy Edgar-Jones.

Previously, at 6:45 a.m. PT: Taylor Swift revealed on social media Thursday morning that the release of her new song “Carolina” from the soundtrack of the upcoming film where the crowdads sing Will arrive at midnight tonight.

“There are things that only Carolina knows… and you will soon too,” reads a rather cryptic tweet posted to the singer’s Taylor Nation Twitter page. “Taylor’s original song #Carolina has arrived on MIDNIGHT ET.”

An image on Swift’s Instagram Story shows a sleepy backwoods stream with the simple text “Carolina Midnight.” A similar message and a brief audio clip of it were posted on Twitter (see it below).

Swift takes a breath while singing the words “Carolina Knows” in a brief audio snippet of the song. The Sony Pictures film will open in theaters on July 15.

Swift’s Instagram account has been posting cryptic messages this week indicating the new song’s pending arrival. “Carolina” Is the First Newly Written Original Song Since Swift’s 2020 Album forever.

In March, Swift posted the film’s trailer on her Instagram page, writing, “where the crowdads sing There is a book I was absolutely lost in while reading years ago. As soon as I heard there was a movie in the works starring the incredible @daisyedgarjones and produced by the brilliant @reesewitherspoon, I knew I wanted to be a part of it from the musical side. ,

Swift wrote and performed “Carolina”, and the song is produced by her frequent collaborator Aaron Dessner.
