‘The Daily Show’ Lands Record Emmy Nominations Haul Under Trevor Noah

The Daily Show Has Received His Most Emmy Nominations Trevor Noah became the host of comedy Central in 2015.

The late night series and its byproducts garnered seven nominations this morning including the main . also includes Outstanding Talk Series Categorywhere it will compete against Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and new entrant Late Night with Seth Meyers.

This marked his fifth consecutive nomination in the main late-night category, although it continued to lose, as with all other shows, to Oliver, who won six years in a row.

But it was the show’s expanding universe that helped it bring in more nominations than ever before, and more names that any other late night show.
