‘Secrets in Their Eyes’ star Joe Cole talks about his role in the six-part TV series ‘The Ippress File’. Who is seen in the role of detective Harry Palmer.
Written by John Hodge and directed by James Watkins, it also stars Lucy Boynton and Tom Hollander.
Talking about his character Harry, Joe said: “I’ve done some research into the timeline of ‘The Impress File’ and really came knocking with the script. It’s a fascinating time period, and Harry Palmer is an iconic The character is there. I hadn’t seen the movies before the project was sent and didn’t know much about him, but I quickly found myself obsessed with the man, the myth, the legend.”
A British Cold War espionage thriller series, ‘The Ippress File’ is set in 1963. Adapted from Len Deaton’s novel The Ippress File, the first in the Harry Palmer series, is adapted by Oscar-nominated and BAFTA Award-winning author John. Hodge in six-part TV series directed by Emmy-winning James Watkins.
Joe said: “Once I found out who was on board – director James Watkins and other creatives – had read the script and did some homework on the character, it was a great opportunity for me to play someone different. was, but also shares some similarities.”
“I don’t know if there is some crossover, maybe, who I am as an actor and the character has certain shades. So that was what attracted me to the role,” he concluded.
