Morgan̵7;s casting marks a reunion of sorts for comedian and Santa Claus creator Jack Burditt, they worked together 30 Rock. It is not yet clear how Morgan’s character will figure into the storyline.
In the second season of the Disney+ comedy, the Calvin family is back in the North Pole as Scott Calvin (Tim Allen) continues his role as Santa Claus after retirement plans fail after failing to find a worthy successor in season one. Now that Scott and his family have successfully saved Christmas, Scott turns his attention to training his son, Calvin, to take over the “family business” as Santa Claus.
Returning in season two are series regulars Elizabeth Mitchell as Mrs. Claus/Carol, Elizabeth Allen-Dick as Sandra Calvin Claus, Austin Kane as Cal Calvin Claus, and Devin as Santa’s elf bestie Noel. Bright is joined by new series regular Eric Stonestreet as Magnus. Antas, aka The Mad Santa, and Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias as Chris “Kringle” Moreno.
Matilda Lawler will reprise her role as Santa’s Chief of Staff, Betty, as a recurring guest star. Additional guest stars include Marta Kessler as Olga, Liam Kyle as Gary, Isabella Bennett as Eddie, Sasha Knight as Crouton, Ruby Jay as Riley, Mia Lynn Bangunanas Pontoon, and La Befana, the Christmas Witch. as Laura San Giacomo.
Along with Ellen, Burditt will continue as executive producer and show runner, and Kevin Hinch, Richard Baker and Rick Messina will serve as executive producers for Small Dog Picture Company with Jason Winer and John Radler.
