Backed by Banijay, the show from Wild Mercury Productions and True Vision Productions tells the story of the meeting of Ben Field, an inspirational teacher and charismatic student (hardwick) set the stage for one of the most complex and confounding criminal cases in recent memory. It also focuses on how doubts arise about Field’s relationship with Ann Moore-Martin (reed), Farquhar’s deeply religious neighbor, revealed a series of chilling revelations.
The show is being produced in full collaboration with the families of Farquhar and Moore-Martin and filming is taking place in and around Bristol and Bath.
Spall is a two-time BAFTA-nominated British actor, who has starred in the Mike Leigh films as well as Wealth Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street And vanilla Sky.
