Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal, who is busy shooting for the biopic ‘Sam Bahadur’, has shared that he got a chance to overcome his fear with hybrid survival show ‘Into the Wild with Bear Grylls’.
feature of the show VickyWhich earlier dropped on OTT, is going for its television premiere and will see the actor roaming the jungle, crossing the dangerous seas with the adventure host, Bear Grylls, fighting to survive and return back to civilization.
Talking about the show, Vicky said: “It was an overwhelming experience to go on this existential journey with renowned explorer Bear Grylls. Without him, I would not have been able to overcome my apprehension of swimming in this vast ocean.”
The journey turned out to be a watershed moment for the ‘Uri’ star as he came out a different person by the end of it.
The actor further added: “This trip also represents a turning point in my life as it allowed me to confront and overcome many of my phobias. It’s hard to imagine swimming in the middle of the ocean without a solid surface beneath you, but Bear’s continued motivation and persistence encouraged me to conquer this.
The episode will begin their journey in a cluster of mangroves dominated by crocodiles, sharks and snakes, including erratic tides and weather. The pair will also navigate the ocean, engaging in an insightful yet revelatory chat where she opens up about herself like never before.
Into the Wild with Bear Grylls starring Vicky Kaushal will premiere on Discovery Channel on November 21 at 8 PM IST.
