British singer tom grenon has revealed the extent of his injuries after he was attacked outside a bar in New York on Wednesday evening.
The BRIT Award-nominated singer has posted a Twitter video revealing that she is suffering from a ruptured eardrum and concussion following the attack, which she says was a case of “wrong place, wrong time”.
He said in the video: “It was the wrong time in the wrong place and I was punched, knocked over and I woke up and was like it was going on.
“I have a ruptured eardrum. Luckily my jaw is fine. I have a slight concussion but I am on meds at the moment and it is like taking the pain away.
“I have filed a police report. NYPD They were great they were brilliant.
“So yeah, the wrong place is the wrong time but just crazy 24 hours, but you’re my main priority and I don’t want to disappoint anyone and I don’t want it to cancel this US tour.”
Grenon performed that evening at The Bowery Ballroom in New York City, and was attacked and robbed outside a bar after the show.
He canceled an event Friday evening in Washington DC, but hopes to resume his tour, which has three more stops and will take place on the West Coast.
He is scheduled to perform at Brighton Music Hall in Boston tonight, Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco on Saturday 23 April, and The Troubadours in Los Angeles on 27 April.
Grenon was recently seen at the biggest event on the British music industry calendar Brit AwardsWhere she received two nominations, Best Rock/Alternative Act and Song of the Year, she lost to Adele in the latter category.
