Zara Kids Zara Hat emerged as a box office hit. The opening of the film exceeded all expectations as Rs. 5.49 crores came. The weekend growth was then quite impressive, reaching close to double digits (Rs 9.90 crore) on Sunday and then taking the total to Rs. 22.59 crore rupees were deposited. Now the weekdays have also been good and resulted in a first week Rs. 37.35 cr.
This is a very good score for a film that has been made at a moderate cost under Rs. 50 crores and now a major chunk of its budget will be recovered from the theatrical revenue till it stays in theatres. Usually, such a film would have theatrical revenue as an added bonus as the cost is recovered through OTT, satellite and music. The reverse has happened in the case of this Dinesh Vijan production and now all these routes will prove to be good for the film and there will be huge profits.
The film is set to hit Rs. It crossed the 50 crore mark on this Sunday and then reached very close to Rs. 60 crores by the end of the second week. After this some more collections are also going to come, which means there is a distinct possibility of Rs. Eventually the figure of 65 crores was crossed.
Note: All collections as per production and distribution sources
